First impressions are very important, something that the Management need to work on. On entering we nearly went back to the car as it was so dark and smoky.
It didn’t get better at the bar as the staff had to go to the kitchen to see if they where serving food on this Saturday lunch time .
We only ordered a hot sandwich apiece so as to effect a quick getaway, so when they arrived, what a pleasant surprise to find they where wonderful, coming with fresh cut chips and crispy salad, we both wished we had ordered something more substantial. With hindsight I'd use Jeromes restaurant, situated inside the pub and well hidden from the entrance, but looks fine. The pub menu is rather small and as is very different to the restaurant.

A traditional country pub in a quiet Fylde village. Visited on a Saturday lunchtime.
Large bar with open fire & TV. The atmosphere in the bar was too smoky for me, there is a non-smoking area. There is also a beer garden.
Pub lunches are available Tuesday - Saturday. Food is well presented and well priced., the freshly-made real chips are delicious. Vegetarian options available.
Friendly service. Good choice of beers, enjoyed the Robinson’s bitter.
Accessible entrance, separate accessible toilets.
There is also no smoking lounge and a restaurant (Jeromes) with its own menu. The restaurant is open Wednesday - Sunday.
