The cheapest and definitely my favourite of the three remaining pubs in Croston, this is a proper village local with an old fashioned traditional interior (although still with Covid screens on the bar for some reason). Two Moorhouses beers served in excellent condition. I think it’s wet only now but it has served pub meals in the past. The interior stretches quite far back into a charming beer garden full of plants and that very rare thing, a working bowling green!
