I popped into the Black A Moor Head on a recent Friday afternoon when there were ten or so lively regulars in attendance. This is now an open plan pub with seating to the right of the entrance and more to the left with the addition of a DJ booth. There is more seating up the left wall and in the right rear is a pool table. The bar faces the entrance and supports a standard keg range.
Televisions are located throughout, some of these were off and some were airing muted World Championship Snooker via BBC. The jukebox was certainly in full swing and could be heard from the street outside. The unusual name drew me in… In hindsight I wish it was called the Station or King’s Head because then I wouldn’t have bothered.

now called the Lack A Oor Head according to the sign. a basic one room pub that seems to cater for Preston's less fortunate. many of them look like they have been here since the last millennium. no real ale and no real point in visiting here. Shame because it's in a great spot next to the now very pleasant market hall.

Not the best place. Basically a multi-roomed place that's been opened out. A room to the rear houses a pool table. A pretty generic pub in all honesty and no real ale, though there is one unused handpump. Slightly better than next door.
