a fairly ordinary suburban local adjoining a new retail park. It’s an old pub, at least in the bar area as you enter to low beams and a relatively cosy though modernised area with 80s pop playing from TVs. The remainder of the pub is a restaurant extending into a child friendly beer garden. It’s not really worth the trip out of Burscough/Ormskirk, I found the clientele a bit loud and chavvy and the environment sterile, though the barman was very pleasant. Food seems to be mass produced pubco product but is available all day and there’s a single real ale on the bar, a slightly sour Black Sheep.
