Nicely done out pub with plenty of wood and painted lead lights.Warm and cosy 3 roomed pub which was busy with diners.No sign of cask hand pumps but Neck Oil never disappoints me on keg

Very smart pub. Three ale taps, two on, Tribute & Pride. Tudor looking inside, very smart. Masses of flowers out the front. I like it.

As Hondo so keenly points out, the 'Royal Oak' is quite handy for the Windsor+Eton train station, right opposite. And with many hanging baskets out front (in the good weather) the pub is quite attractive to local and tourist alike. A third of the bar area is now 'Cafe', enticing the thirsty grockle in for tea+cake..! When the football or rugby is on the big drop-down screen (live) this 'cafe' then becomes the sports bar. Sweet, as the bar girl might say (she's from Essex...!) But I like her :o). A very useful watering hole en route to or from wherever it is you have to go. I luv the 'RO' and how many pubs have a back-drop like this one...a real-life fairytale castle...! A must see. Put it on your pub list. :o)
