A small corner pub that is away from the village centre. Sadly no real ale was on on this visit. While there is nothing wrong with the place it was yet another pub in Littleborough with a poor beer selection.

Traditional corner local. The bar is facing you as you enter and there's a lounge area to the left. To the right is another room with a dartboard. This is another pub I used to play darts against about 30 years ago. It's a friendly pub in a blokeish, sweary sort of way. As the landlord/landlady live upstairs and have a dog I assume it's dog friendly as well. There's now a newly installed handpump on the bar which was pulling Sharp's Doom Bar. This is a fairly unusual beer for around here, unlike London which is awash with it. It was a good pint as well. I used to quite like coming here 30 years ago, I still do.

I lived across the road from the Royal Exchange pub for most of my life until I left Littleborough and was a regular with my late husband Michael Chadwick
