Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Bowling Green Inn

Very disappointingly for a Good Beer Guide pub, no real ale currently being offered "due to the current circumstances we just don't know whether it will sell". However, that might have rung truer had the place not been near enough full on a Friday lunchtime. Apart from this disappointment, this place has a tidy refurbished, twin-bar interior with a side dining room plus a reasonable beer garden. Ignoring the illusory handpumps I made do with the Theakston's Mild (£2.85).
