Two rooms bar to right and games room to left with the mentioned bowling green to rear. Two Thwaites ales, Original and Bomber though you’d only this if you’d been in both bars. The Original was cold but ok (the ice cold beer sign at the bar appears to be inappropriately all-encompassing) though the Bomber was more cellar temperature. Staff were affable. The pub is a relatively new build, as the original building was demolished and moved back to allow for road widening. The interior has been more recently refurbed though some bulbs were blown and the rear garden tables were shot which kind of took the edge of it. Décor is pretty moderate with no real distinguishing features. Nowhere near as much charm as the Boot next door but does at least have a bit of USP.
