The Royal Oak is a smallish stand alone pub that is in a residential area just north of the town centre.
The pub looked well kept from the outside and once inside it was decent enough,there were no real ales on here and the only bitter was keg Tetley bitter which was a pretty bad drink.
This would have been an half decent pub but it was let down by having no real ales on.
