A pretty average pub with varying opening hours midweek. Its ok for a drink.

The British Queen is a smallish corner pub that is to the north of the town centre.
The pub looked decent enough from the front but the side of the pub had four waggon wheels and a large bird box on the wall, since my visit the pub has lost a couple of its waggon wheels.
Once inside this was a fairly basic but comfortable pub to have a drink in,the pub is a Thwaites tied house and there was one real ale on the bar this was Thwaites bitter and this was a decent drink.
