Proper old historic village local, although with a fair bit of gentrification inside these days. Not a big fan of the seating arrangement that makes it very awkward to find anywhere as a solo drinker. But once I settled in I found it a reasonably relaxing place, where staff are extremely friendly and professional. Areas to the left and right plus further on beyond the bar, all with big chunky tables. The bar has three ales on (Landlord, Dizzy Blonde, HPA), I had a Dizzy Blonde in fine form. The tenants also own a micropub down the road which probably has a more interesting selection.

Have visited this Pub and restaurant many times with my wife when up North. The first time met the Landlord and his wife very unassuming couple just sitting in Restaurant like anyone else. The second and subsequent times as on the first visit welcomed by staff always cheerful and have time for their customers. In my case having to have my food specially prepared due to a medical condition, the staff, chef and all have been excellent. The food is first class and I mean this better than most alleged top class Restaurants we see on the TV. I would highly recommend this restaurant / pub to all in the area. None will be disappointed. Food always fantastic, beers top class too. Highly recommend a visit as couple or even family the welcome will be the tops. David & Anne Bennett (The Traumadocs)

The wife and i continued our monthly tour of the pubs of east lancs and called at the Euxton Mills A clean, cosy pub served by a friendly staff offering good meals at a reasonable price We opted for the roast beef dinner, the veg was cooked to perfection and the beef excellent When arriving at the pub you cannothelp noticing the assortment of hanging baskets and other floral arrangements adding a splash of colour to the facade
