The Lamb still has an entry in the latest (2020 as I type) Good Beer Guide, which I found somewhat surprising considering the lack of real ale - Landlord was the only option.
It's a cosy, carpeted place, where the Merseyside derby match was being shown on a number of TV screens. Although, there weren't too many in. I suspect this reduction in demand, along with the uncertain future for Greater Manchester pubs were the reasons for the lack of choice on the ale front.

Called in while visiting the 2011 Good Beer Guide pub entries, and found this one to be a welcoming family run pub just a short bus ride out of the main Bury area. Very comfortable pub serving good real ales. Enjoyed 2 Mallinsons beers here, Motueka, and Control Freak.
