Backstreet Fullers outlet which was pretty unimpressive; you usually expect a higher standard at their outlets. Just Pride and a poor ESB available (which came in a Stowford Press glass, classy). The room is a fairly featureless open-plan space, made difficult to navigate by the large pool table by the bar and a couple of pillars slap-bang in the middle of the pub. To the right is a strange black timber and red-paint wall. Decent rear patio with two large coach wheels propped against wall. Barmaid seemed fairly disinterested. Rolls behind the bar for £1.35 but I wasn’t tempted. One upside was that the clientèle were less odd than in some of the other Slough pubs. Needs a rethink.

This pub is very dark and dingy and for a Fuller's pub is not up to their usual standard and although having said that the beer was in good order.Place needs a complete re-furb.

I often call in the Wheatsheaf for one on the way back to the Marriott in Chalvey. It's a fairly basic locals pub, but it's always friendly. Usually only have Chiswick Bitter or Pride on the handpumps, but they're always in good nick. There's a well used pool table and dartboard, they also have live music on some weekends although I've never been as I'm only here from Monday to Friday. Not a destination pub in any way, shape or form, but it's OK for one when I'm passing.
