Strongers . left this review about The Blue Bell
I visited the Bluebell on Monday evening last week for a family meal and get together in the left-hand side dining area. The food is cheap, but it wasn’t the best quality so we would have been disappointed had we paid more for it. Available from the bar was Joseph Holts Bitter (x3) and the Holt’s lager range alongside Bootleg American IPA keg, Strongbow and Guinness. My kids were very happy to see a slushy machine on the back bar, but at £2.30 a cup the price wasn’t far off a pint of bitter. There was some 80s background music playing and the Manchester United v Chelsea game was muted on the television. The football fans wishing to hear the Sky Sports commentary located themselves in the right hand ‘Vault’ bar, which is where I would have been if not with family. In here is at least one more television, a projector screen and a dartboard. Whilst waiting to be served I noted that there is a weekly quiz on Thursdays and open mic is held here on the last Monday of each month.
There is some outside seating down the left side of the pub adjacent to the car park, which is managed by a private company. When first ordering at the bar any drivers must put their car registration into the tablet on the bar to avoid a £100 parking fine.
