Unexpectedly bijou Spoons in an attractive Edwardian building - looks like a pub conversion and has the feel of one. Tick shaped interior with subdivisions over two levels and a pleasingly curved bar. Lots of ornate blingy gold leaf mirrors. Six guest ales, my Goose Eye Chinook was in sublime shape (NBSS 4.5 - GBG listed) and I note it’s the same beer PSM encountered several years earlier! Understaffed but those who were behind the jump did well. Ground floor bogs a bonus and of course I am a poof not a yellow fingered local. Some proper Burnley characters in the garden including a middle-aged woman with a peroxide hairdo straight out the mid-1960s. Decent JDW.

Strongers . left this review about The Boot Inn (JD Wetherspoon)

The Boot Inn is an L-shaped Wetherspoons with a central L-shaped serving counter that supports at least five hand pumps that were drawing Reedley Hallows Brewing’s Armistice Day and Nook of Pendle alongside Ruddles, Brightside’s Klaxon and Cairngorm Brewery’s Wildcat. I’ve recently been in Spoon’s pubs with three times as many hand pumps and only one guest option, so it wasn’t surprising to find all the tables along the windows in the bar area to be full, and the split-level seating at the rear to also be busy during my midweek evening visit. I’d pop back in again if passing.

Old Boots left this review about The Boot Inn (JD Wetherspoon)

Old corner pub now a ‘spoons, neat stone exterior built on a curve, obviously the inside reflects this in the front area, behind is more rectangular. A classic Victorian bar but no doubt with sub divisions removed, it retains (?) a magnificent carved curved counter, renewed tilling in front and one of Wetherspoons unique carpets in the correct period style. Two floor levels; presumably reflecting an original two bar layout, each level has a separate entrance door. Standard sort of tap layout of T-Bar, T-Bar, four pulls, Keg Wine , T-Bar, four pulls, T-Bar and so on, not the same stuff on each bank of pulls, so you need to check both sets out before ordering.
I ate in this spoons, lukewarm chips and a halfhearted burger, fine dining Burnley style! Usual kind of spoons punters but maybe a few more being “care in the community” than in other places.
Benefits from downstairs bogs although you may be considered a poof if you wash your hands afterwards.
