Looks fairly impressive from the outside and the exterior seating is well-appointed. However the inside is a large and fairly featureless male-centric locals boozer, bar a small room off to the left that didn’t look immediately inviting. Pool table in the main bar with a dartboard off an alcove to the right. Plenty of trophies in the cabinet and the locals were certainly getting in a fair bit of pool practice on Tuesday afternoon inbetween smokes out front - which might explain the pervading whiff of old cigarette smoke. A couple of tabloids for perusal at the bar. Two ales - Doom Bar and Bombardier - the Doom Bar was decent. Friendly barmaid. Little here to interest the outsider.
