A 4 x 4 ploughed into the pub on 29/10/2014 and smashed through the wall, luckily no-one was hurt.

The driver tried to do a runner but was "restrained" by the staff at the Dog and others.

To add insult to injury on 31/10/2014 some scrotes broke in and robbed the cellar.

The building inspector has visited the pub and says it is salvageable.

Hopefully the pub will reopen, updates available on the link.

Sunday evening, and this pub reverberates to the sweet sound of the acoustic guitar played by some of Bolton's finest young musicians. A friendly welcome to one an all especially if you can strum a note or two. And anyway Dave drinks there.......
