The Doffcocker is quite an impressive Holt's pub on the Chorley Old Road. However, whilst it looks good both inside and out, the pub lacked any kind of atmosphere. Despite two large rooms, there were just 2 other customers when we arrived. Although, another couple did arrive later in the back bar.
The eastern European barmaid wasn't helping either. I ordered a half of the Bitter, only for her to charge me for a pint. Luckily she charged me before pouring it. So, I received a refund and the half that I had ordered.
The European Under-21 Football final was being shown on the TV. But with no atmosphere, we didn't stick around for long.
