I went in The Clifton Arms on 27 August 1983 when it was a Tetley tied house.

The Gateway formaly known as The Clifton Arms, Is a town centre pub with a local pub feeling to it, its always welcoming and friendly.. there is a relaxed feeling to the place and all ages frequent the place.. ist always an entertaining place with free juke box on a friday night so you get to choose what music you want to listen too, Karaoke on a saturday with resident dj Sharky, its a giggle with some great singers and not so great like myself which makes it more of a laugh. my name is June and im the manager, so its always June In the Gateway(except for our xmas party which was on the 1st of August) what a laugh come see whats going to go on next xx
