Henighans Bottom Bull, Bolton

At some point in the last three years the Bulls Head has been renamed Henighans Bottom Bull. I think that Bottom Bull is used to differentiate this pub from its sister pub in Little Lever. Live music is heavily advertised, but there was nothing much going on during my Wednesday evening visit a couple of weeks ago.
The interior is split into a right hand bar that is full of seating and a left hand bar that houses a dartboard, piano, pool table and a jukebox that was playing some background music. Plasma screens are located throughout and Sky Sports is shown.
The bar is stocked with standard draught and the solitary hand pump was drawing Bank Top’s Flat Cap. Thai food is available and there is a bar menu with English food.
Out the back are a covered smoking area and a raised seating area that is full of picnic tables.

This pub has a modern feel, but it isn’t grubby like many live music venues. I would have no problem popping back in if passing, but I wouldn’t go out of my way.
