Basic GK pub that looks quite good from the outside, the interior has been tarted-up by the BSE refit brigade but not too much to write home about, the tasteful semi hexagonal bar excepted; low ceiling, white painted beams, unused fireplace etc. Decent patio garden off to the left. Two ales; GK IPA and Thornbridge White Swan. After the initial euphoria of seeing a decent non-GK beer wore off, what we were served up was on the turn and £4 a pint. Oh dear oh dear. Deserted at 9.30pm on a Thursday and it wasn’t hard to see why.
