The emphasis here is clearly on food but not a bad pub running under the Sizzling chain banner. Decent grub at a fair price. Three hand pulls one of which wasnt on. If you're coming here for ale it's not the place to be but for a pint and cheap grub it can't be knocked.

Low grade eatery-cum-bar. Sells a couple of mainstream ales (Brakspear, GK, Pride, Youngs - that sort of thing) very cheaply and the quality is hit-and-miss, usually erring to the latter. The exterior architecture is quite pleasant and the inside is alright as well. Some of the customers can be a bit, err, 'gruff'. The 17 from town stops just up the road. TV permanently switched onto BBC News 24 unless the football is on.
