This pub was originally called The Bay Horse but now bears as its official name what was a nickname locally for thirty years. It came about because the licensee Alfred Pomfret invariably wore clogs and a billycock hat.The pub has recently re-opened, and has undergone a massive refurbishment with no expense spared, and is now part of the Ribble Valley Inns group. It has a lovely interior and was quite full with diners when we arrived. It has a nice patio area and quite a large car park to the rear.
