The best pub in Bacup by a street length. Packed at 6 p.m. on a Friday evening. It's one large broken out room with a pool table to the rear. There were people playing doms & cards on the green baize topped tables supplied for the purpose, so it must be a regular thing in here. There's only one handpump but this serves an ever changing beer. On this occasion it was a very well kept Lancaster Citra and amazingly good value at just £1.99 per pint. Friendly and efficient bar staff are another plus point. It's a very good pub. It's not worth moving to Bacup for though (see below). :-))

Looking at moving into the area. A middle aged couple walking into a strange pub on a saturday night is not always a smart move !! On our arrival we were made welcome by the cheerful chatty barmaid and I was highly impressed by the pricing and quality of drinks available. It cemented our decision to move into the town and expect to become a local at this fantastic pub in the future
