The Turnpike is an unusual shaped pub that is situated next to a busy road junction.
Once inside the pub had two seperate rooms, the bar to the front was fairly large and smart with comfy bench seating and stools, the lounge to the rear was carpeted and meals were being served in this room.
The pub was a Bass tied house when i visited it,there were no real ales on the bar,i had a drink of keg Bass Toby Light which was nothing special.
This pub was ok for a quick drink.
