Alan Winfield left this review about Miners Refuge
The Miners Refuge was a very short walk from the Hare and Hounds, the pub looked fairly nice fom the outside.
Once inside the pub had been opened out into a single largish room, this room was carpeted and had mainly normal tables and chairs.
The pub was a Marstons tied house at the time of my visit, there was one real ale on the bar, this was Marstons bitter which was a decent enough drink.
This pub was a bit of a let down.
Ime not sure if this pub is still up and running or not.
