The Canterbury Arms is a large back street pub that looks quite nice from the outside, the pub is a shortish walk north from the town centre.
Once inside the pub had two decent sized rooms,i had a drink in the bar which was fairly basic but in a nice way,the seperate lounge looked quite smart and comfortable.
The pub was a John Smiths tied house at the time of my visit, there was one real ale on the bar, which was John Smiths bitter which was on handpump, this was a nice drink.
I was happy enough having a drink in this pub.
