It is situated just off the M65 and has stood in it's own grounds for hundreds of years. Over the last 30 years or so numerous extentions have been added, that seem completely out of character to the rest of this fine architecture It is mainly used as an hotel and for leisure activities, and at weekends weddings and functions are the order of the day. This place is most definitely not on the discerning drinkers pub crawl list, but if you are happy to pay well over the top prices for your drinks in a place that lacks a pub atmosphere, then give it a whirl.
