Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Long Hop
Located directly across the A2 from the Grove cricket ground, hence the name... Anyway, it may well pre-date that facility since the rear part of the partly split-level bar area appears quite old (with a low ceiling and some exposed timbers). Both levels are also lightly subdivided, so there are various different seating areas to choose from. Two real ales available from the four handpumps: Shepherd Neame's Master Brew and Fine Light from Goacher's (£4.20, and in good form).

Situated at the far west of Sittingbourne, this is a quiet local with a friendly owner.
There is a single room and a single real ale, which was Master Brew on our late Wednesday evening visit.
Has fairly restricted opening hours from 4-10 at present.

A comfortable, friendly pub in the old traditional sense. A few locals, a couple of dogs, a governor and landlady who will chat amiably. Comfortable grub, agreeable company, nice pub.
