The Star is a horrible pub. The music from the hi-fi was so loud it hurt, while the only other sound was an obnoxious, pugilistic idiot (in his 40s or 50s I might add) at the bar trying to start a fight with anyone who would react to his loud, moronic, monosyllabic grunting. The one ale on - Doombar - was too cold and not well kept. There was nothing welcoming about this pub. I couldn't wait to leave and can't imagine wanting to go back.
