What the Dick Inns is a back street pub.
Once inside there is an L shaped room with the bar facing, there is comfy bench seating to the front with chairs, plus one long table to the rear right, the room is carpeted, there is a pool table to the front left which is up a couple of steps.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink f Doom Bar which was a decent enough drink, the other beer was London Pride.
Decent background music was playing on my Saturday afternoon visit.
This is a pleasant pub to have a drink in.

What the Dick Inns was very quiet when I visited on Monday evening a couple of weeks ago. Standard draught was available from the bar and the banks of three hand pumps found at either end of the bar were drawing London Pride, Doom Bar and Courage Best. There was some inoffensive background music playing and I didn’t note seeing any televisions. The only other customers were two people of pensioner age who were setting up a game of cards in a raised area to the right of the bar. At the opposite end of the bar is another raised area that houses a pool table.
I had been on a crawl of the area so I was on lager most of the night. As this was my last stop I decided to stick to the fizzy stuff and had half a Fosters. Being charged £1.95 made me realise why this pleasant pub was so empty when its peers were pretty busy for the beginning of the week.

Originally The Masons Arms, this wonderful Victorian corner pub was first licensed in around 1881. It has recently been refurbished in faux-Victorian style, but it has been well done and adds to the character, helped by exposure of some original architectural features including brick chimney breasts and wooden floors. There is also a surprisingly nice garden. I found the staff very welcoming and the clientele civilised. Some of the fittings are a bit twee, but it isn't OTT and adds to the atmosphere. The L-shaped main bar (originally 2 bars) is carpeted, and teh raised area at the back is boarded. There is a pool table. Two ales on, Doombar and Pride, neither in perfect condition but still drinkable nonetheless. I really enjoyed my visit and will certainly be back in the future.
