Lovely old pub with a good selection of cask beers on offer, and a nice little suntrap of an outside area to enjoy them while getting some phone reception! Canterbury Ales Owens Court Gold (3.8%) and Mad Cat Crispin Amber Ale (4.0%) both good, at £5.30 for two halves. The only problem I had with the place was the customer who seemed to decide that he needed to keep an eye on me in the otherwise deserted front bar, causing me to move to the garden.

A splendid old two roomed pub full of character.Two sets of four handpumps ,divided equally between the two rooms with different beers in each, three are regular beers, Coopers Ale (house beer) Courage Best and Directors with five changing guests which on my visit were Dark Star Hophead, Timothy Taylor Landlord, Westerham Spirit Of Kent,Youngs Original and Craft Beer Man Kentish Pale Ale, the later served up in excellent condition. A very nice pub.

Dating from 1189 - according to WhatPub.
An attractive, low ceiling pub full of dickens knick knacks.
Quite a choice of real ales - look to the board on the right of the central bar - as the pumps in eye-sight do not do full justice to the range.
Youngs special in decent nick.
