No longer the Hook and Tackle, this is now Namaste Restaurant and Bar. Came here to try the food which is of a Nepalese persuasion. Felt a little on edge here on my Friday night visit. Quite busy. Just lager on offer here but food was pretty good.

A little off the beaten track but a fairly smart looking pub and the recent refurb works quite well. Three handpulls with just two in use,the beers available were very mainstream, London Pride and Blacksheep Bitter, both at a very good price of £3.00 a pint, however the quality of my pint of the latter wasn't great regardless of it being the first pint served of the day.If they can up the beer quality here I would consider a return, but as it stands, not likely although I did like the pub itself.

Re-opened after long period of closure. Has been refurbed. Three ales on, national brands. First visit found ale that was tepid in a hot glass. Latest visit found surprisingly good quality - so perhaps they're picking it up. Beers this time were Marstons Pedigree and two from Ringwood.

Tucked away and overshadowed by the IDR flyover, this pub battles on, year upon year under different licensees. There's usually a couple of ales available (mainstream brands such as Youngs, Wells and Courage) with the condition being variable. Clientèle can occasionally be quite scary, depending on how well the latest incumbent has done in keeping order. Known as Tanners Arms until mid 1980's.
