Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Jacey's Bistro (Queen Phillipa)
Although the Queen Phillips is a Bed & Breakfast establishment, the smart two-part ground-floor Jacey's Bistro is open to all. Nothing much doing on the compact bar, with Bear Island 'East Coast Pale Ale' (£2.95, half) being my pick of the four keg options.

E TA left this review about Queen Phillipa
Rather smelly and shabby late Victorian pub, first licensed in around 1901, which has just changed ownership, the first pub you see as you you enter the town. Originally there was a sports bar attached, but that seems to have gone now. It's a single bar, which houses a pool table and the usual tatty furniture. No real ale as 'no-one drinks it', and no food. I don't expect to return anytime soon.
