A rather huge roadside pub. Looked in darkness at my Tuesday lunch arrival. I tried the door and couldn't get it to budge. Then I tried the door and it didn't open. Walked off towards Knockholt Station when I head a voice shouting me. The landlady telling me the door knob was stiff and they were indeed open :-)
A couple of punters in the shadows. I must have looked a right prat at Pratts Bottom.
Harveys Sussex Best in good condition. Some outdoor seating taken advantage, so I didnt observe much inside, aside from a very long bar.

Fairly pleasant pub in the centre of the village of Pratt's Bottom and just opposite the village green. On arrival, it was clear that quite a bit was going on in the village. Apparently the activity was ITV people filming a documentary about some crime that had occurred in the area. They had hired out the pub's car park, but were at least giving the pub plenty of business.
The main bar area is light and airy and was a nice place to relax after the rickety bus journey on the R10 from Cudham. Sharp's Doom Bar was once again the regular beer. Guests here were Harvey's Sussex Best Bitter & St Austell Tribute. Locals and staff all seemed like a friendly bunch. The barmaid gave me the pub's wifi code to enable me to plot my onward journey, as I had no mobile phone reception. The pub is a bit out of the way and whilst it's a nice village local, I can't see too many reasons to rush back.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Bulls Head
Ex-Courage pub with unusual pediment signage above the main entrance. This leads to the central bar area, with dining room wings off to each side and another dining area up three steps at the back. Also has some outdoor seating on the front patio and plenty more in the rear beer garden. With three of the four handpumps in use, I found Tribute, Youngs Special and Harvey's (£4.50).
