Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The White Horse
Quite an attractive old pub, opened out inside to leave a 'L'-shaped bar with a separate dining area to the rear. Traditional furniture and decor. Background music. Couple of wooden picnic tables out front. Various food offerings, including takeaway fish & chips on a Friday evening. Three of five handpumps operational on this visit, offering Pride, Doom Bar and Adnams Ghost Ship (£3.50, and in good form). Quite a walk out from Maidstone town centre, and you get the impression that they don't many people calling in on the off chance.

Strongers . left this review about The White Horse
I popped into the White Horse late one weekday afternoon last week when there was one other customer at the bar. Two of the hand pumps were unused leaving an ale selection of Shepherd Neame’s Master Brew, Sharp’s Doom Bar and Fullers’ London Pride. There is also a standard draught selection and I found the service, from whom I took to be the governor, to be polite.
The bar is located on the right hand wall and there is a dartboard between it and the front window. At the rear of the bar is a sunken dining area and although I didn’t see any menus I did spot that the Sunday roasts are priced at £9 or £15 for three courses. The advertised kitchen opening times are from midday until 14:00 and 18:00 until 21:00 during the week, midday until 14:00 and 19:00 until 21:00 on Saturdays and from 12:30 until 15:00 on Sundays.
Live music was advertised for the upcoming Saturday night and a quiz had just passed on the Tuesday night, but I’m not sure if these are weekly events.
The background noise was courtesy of a radio station and the plasma screen in the centre of the pub was off with no signs of Sky Sports. There is a quiz and fruit machine.
This is a pleasant enough pub where I would take the family, but I’m not sure I would make a special trip on my own just for a beer.
