Requested be closed with reason - Gone away: The couple running the pub have retired and it has been sold to the local council who are going to demolish it to improve the road layout, according to reports in the local press - https://www.kentonline.co.uk/maidstone/news/end-of-an-era-at-the-iconic-wheatsheaf-215021/

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Wheatsheaf
Prominent pub (otherwise known as Kenny's) located at a busy road junction on the southern side of the town. Features a rectangular bar with a rounded end, comfortably furnished and tidily decorated in a semi-traditional way. Also has a small raised terrace on one side. On this visit, I found the regular Courage Best supplemented by Theakston's Hogshead (£3.50, and in good shape) as a guest from a total of five handpumps.
