Trundles along happily, usually a couple of decent quality cask on the go (Sharps, Butcombe, West Berks) plus a couple of cider. Current licensee kept things pretty much as found them.

Long-serving licensees Gary & Julie have retired. Let's hope the new people keep up the same level of quality.
May 2014
A clean and friendly community local run by two able licensees. Three ales+ (usually some combo of GK/Courage Best/Doombar plus a guest or two at busy times) on offer at a reasonable price in good condition. There's a nice airy conservatory out the back leading onto a lovely family-friendly garden. A decent selection of pub games are on offer plus TV for the footy. Food available too I believe. Toilets are possibly the best in Reading, cleaner than your own mum would do them. Whilst this place is not necessarily a beer-tickers paradise (the festival permitting), it’s an excellent local that’s well-worth sampling if you're in the area.
