Strongers . left this review about The Dog & Gun
The bar of the Dog and Gun is found on the left hand wall where there is a dartboard to the left of it and a seating area to the right. To the right of the entrance is a raised seating area with another dartboard and in the right rear corner of the pub is a pool table. There are a couple of plasma screens and Sky Sports is advertised.
This is a Shepherd Neame pub so their usual draught is available along with Master Brew, Spitfire and Bishop’s Finger. There was another operating hand pump, but a few locals at the bar were blocking the view so I didn’t get to note what it was.
Out the back is a beer garden with a covered seating area and a shed which I imagine is a bar in the summer as it was named the Pup and Pistol.
I found the service to be very friendly, but at least one of the locals wasn’t. I don’t mind getting looked up and down when I walk into a local pub, but I don’t like being stared at for the whole duration of my stay.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Dog & Gun
Community Shepherd Neame pub, with a single bar of reasonable size and the main seating area raised by a solitary step. Plenty going on with two dart boards and a pool table. Live music events advertised. Simply refurbished with light decor. Three of four handpumps in operation, offering Master Brew, Spitfire and Late Red (£3.60, and in fine form). Overall, better than I was expecting, but a couple of the customers made me feel a bit uncomfortable so I didn't linger.
