Strongers . left this review about Bar Chocolate
I popped into here on Friday afternoon to find myself the only customer in a sparsely furnished L shaped bar. A dance floor and DJ booth are located to the left of the building and the bar is to the right where a standard draught range is available alongside Bombardier. Cocktails are also available and these are two for one every day from 17:00 until 19:00. The outside says that this is a lounge bar and eatery, but I didn’t spot any menus and the few sofas present by the front windows hardly qualify this pub to say it’s a lounge bar. I decided to have a half of Fosters which came in at an eye watering £2 which would explain why this place was empty.
There is a plasma screen that was switched off and there is no Sky Sports here. This place is open until 4am Thursday and I would imagine the license extends to these sort of hours at the weekend.
I imagine that this place fills up in the evening at the weekend, but it’s not for me and I’ll not be returning.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Bar Chocolate
This place has changed hands and formats more times than I can remember, most recently a bar called ME1. Now more of a club, with minimal furniture inside to leave space for the dancefloor. The interior is also appropriately, given the new name, chocolate coloured which might have sounded good on paper but looks pretty hideous. No real ale of course, and not even any John Smiths Extra Dull - just three obvious lagers - and thus about the worst selection of beer I have encountered in a long time. However, the outside tables are on a quiet pedestrianised lane and can be a reasonable spot for a quick pint of something cold in the late afternoon sun.
