After a couple of changes in management, the E&C has been doing pretty well in the last few years. Whilst the bar billiards has gone and the open fire is now a wood-burner, there have been lots of little improvements around the place. Usually three GK ales plus a guest or two in good nick.

A surprisingly good local. There’s usually a fair cross-section of punters, with a lively buzz about the place in the evenings. The interior is quite nicely done, it’s a two-roomed pub with an open fire and a collection of horse brass. Seen the ladies darts team in here before and there is now a bar billiards table. Beer is usually three Greene King ales and the new owners have helped improve the quality a bit. I’ve got a soft spot for this place and would say it’s worth a go in the evening or Saturday daytime.
