Strongers . left this review about Ye Olde Coach & Horses Inn
Ye Olde Coach & Horses has thick high tables either side of the central entrance that opens into this pub that is over 350 years old. Standard and premium keg products are supported by the serving counter that runs up the left-hand wall where it faces towards an exposed brick fireplace on the right-hand wall. The pub has a tartan carpet that runs throughout and up the centre of the pub are some supporting columns that separate the stool lined bar from seating up the right. At the rear is a separate room with a pool table and dartboard, and a television that was airing some unknown nonsense. It is evident that this pub has some age to it, but it doesn’t have the vibe of an historic inn, which maybe down to the surprising lack of cask.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Coach & Horses
Quite an attractive old pub, but not really enhanced by its mostly more modern surroundings in the centre of town. Basic traditional interior with a distinctly low ceiling showing the age of the building. Plenty of live music advertised and a function room at the back. Doom Bar, Tribute (£3.50, and hazy but drinkable) and a cider available from three of the five handpumps.

Newly reopened after a refurbishment Ye Olde Coach & Horses Inn is now being run by Sharon who is an expert in real ales and has previously won a number of CAMERA, she is aiming to win more with the cellar at this atmospheric pub - apparently Dick Turpin's ghost likes to wander about late at night. Lunchtime and evening food is planned (May 2014) and various events will make this a 'must visit' pub.
