A two-roomed pub with a central flagstone floored servery. There’s a carpeted left room for dining, a drinking area to the right, with a nice additional dining area up a step from here. Plenty of varnished wood and a traditional feel. Mains advertised at a tenner a pop, normal pub grub. Three pumps, two on; West Berks Chubbs and GOB (rather long in the tooth). Given its location so close to the Chef & Brewer (Berkshire Arms) I wonder how long this place can go on for in its present guise.

One of a party of 8 this week - excellent food. Reasonably priced on the special Mon-Thurs deal, excellent service. Going back this Friday with some other friends
