Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Ship Inn
This old inn frankly looks a bit drab from the main road, and the very traditional interior is OK without being particularly noteworthy, but there is a very pleasant, verdant beer garden at the back which is a surprisingly fine spot for a pint on a sunny day. With two of the three handpumps in use, I found the inevitable Shepherd Neame Master Brew (£3.90) and TT Landlord being dispensed.

A pleasant local on a busy main road. There is a tight car park and a gravelled, covered garden area by the pub entrance; the latter was badly maintained and looked more like an ash tray than a seating area. The pub was very welcoming, though the presence of large numbers of children late at night made it less convivial than it could be. Three ales on, Doombar, Masterbrew and Wantsum's Imperium. The beer was well kept and enjoyable. They hold occasional live music nights, but we visited on a 'quiet' evening. A decent local, worth stopping off when passing through.
