Well described below - so no need to repeat the descriptions other than to say it has kept its layout and felt unchanged. The view through the bar doors is particularly handsome.
Shep Neame beers that have made it into the GBG 2022 guide. Not really for me but well kept.
Decent food at reasonable prices.
Perfect location in the Market Square.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Bear Inn
A proper pub, right in the town centre, but thankfully free of any fancy makeovers (although certain aspects of the very traditional interior are apparently not quite as old as they may seem). Three separate seating areas can be found off the entrance corridor leading from the entrance on the left-hand side of the narrow frontage: the public bar at the front, a snug created from the original 'bottle & jug' in the centre and a larger saloon bar to the rear. In normal times this usually has a good range of well-kept Shepherd Neame beers, although it was just Master Brew and the seasonal Late Red (£4.40) on this visit.

A clearly very old pub importantly situated in the marketplace facing the Guildhall. There are three rooms accessed via a corridor along the left, public bar to the front, then a snug and a larger lounge beyond. Each room has a door with a panel of intricate stained glass. I arrived at around midday, the front public bar was closed on trying the door but on hearing voices I persevered and found my way into the lounge. Despite the relatively early hours the room was busy with folk already eating meals. As the bar runs through I could see that the closed are has a dartboard.
Two were on, Master Brew and Bishop's Finger, half of BF was £2.10. I retired to the snug noting the hops around the beamed ceiling and the plethora of old framed photos.
A brief stop prior to my planned walk and the barmaid was very helpful in guiding me to my starting point. There are many pubs in Faversham so I shall return one day to sample a few more but I had other priorities on the day.
