Old town pub with a mock Tudor frontage consisting of a single small bar, previously Sir John Falstaff. It's mainly a locals' pub, no cask conditioned beer but Whitstable Bay and Curious were both available on gas pressure. They host live music acts and there is a selection of instruments and sound gear around the walls. There is a pool table, but it's upside down and glued to the ceiling. It was initially tricky to work out who was staff and who was a regular, but the reception was friendly enough and we were welcomed. The ale was tasty enough and I'd be happy to pop in as part of a crawl, though I don't see myself making an evening of it here.
