Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Cinque Ports Arms
Traditional pub, right in the heart of the Western Docks. Looks nothing from the outside due to the steel palisade fencing around the port facilities, but well worth the trip inside. It retains a three-room layout around the central bar; all quite basic, but a remarkable survivor amongst all the changes of activity in recent decades; and, to be honest, since my last visit was some nine years ago, I was expecting an empty shell... Better than that, it was not only still open but also serving real ale again: Adnams Lighthouse (£3.20, and in good shape too), with a packet of crisps just 60p - bargain!
