Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Rose

Fine-looking former 'Family & Commercial House', still a hotel (self-described as 'chic') but very much a smart restaurant these days. Both bars are now dining rooms, but there are still a few stools along the left-hand side counter of the central servery. One disused handpump, with Guinness, Adnams Lighthouse and the imported Victoria Málaga (£3.50, half) on three of the six keg taps.
