Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Chequers
Nice old pub, once on the road to Dartford but now a dead end following construction of the M25 motorway. Very much food led these days, and all but one tiny table occupied or reserved on a Sunday lunchtime. Two main rooms; the Darenth and Axtane Lounges, with the former also having a small side dining room behind the bar. Sizeable rear beer garden, comprising a low patio terrace as well as a grassed area. Doom Bar and a fine pint of Landlord (£5.20) available from two of the three handpumps.
