Chef & Brewer chain pub overlooking Chislehurst Common. This was another one that was offering table service only. Greene King IPA & Abbot were the real ale offerings. Our drinks sat on the end of the bar for around 5 minutes before being delivered to the table, which is undoubtedly a problem with many pubs offering table service. At least they do a discount on real ales (halves and pints) for CAMRA card holders.
The interior has numerous different seating areas, whilst there is a garden at the side with some undercover (and presumably heated) seating.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Tigers Head
The dark brick and paintwork may look slightly austere, yet this still quite an attractive pub at the south-east corner of Chislehurst Common. The interior has been thoroughly modernised, but there is still some character in the numerous small seating / dining areas on three sides of the central servery. There is also a sizeable patio beer garden to one side featuring a mural of a country scene as viewed through three arches. As a barely branded Chef & Brewery establishment, this is very much food-led of course, but I found Greene King IPA, Abbot and a decent Hogs Back TEA (curiously priced at £3.98).

Roger Button left this review about The Tigers Head
This attractive 18th Century Chef & Brewer pub is situated at the highest point in Chislehurst and is built on the 15th century foundations of an earlier inn. Records show that there used to be a large pond on the opposite side of the road though no trace remains.
The interior rambles through what would have been 3 or 4 different rooms which are still divided by wall remnants and exposed brick and beamed divides. Unfortunately for drinkers, much of the pub is geared towards diners although to be fair, the pub was well populated with foodies on our Sunday evening stop. For the most part, drinkers seem to have little more than the space in front of the bar without resorting to tables clearly meant for diners, something I feel somewhat conspicuous about doing.
Drinkwise, the 4 hand pumps were badged with London Pride, Doom Bar (which was off on our visit, Isfield Toad In The Ale and Old Rosie cider. Prices were par for the course in the area and quality decent enough. The food was quite pricey with main courses around £10-£16 although as already mentioned, it was a popular.
The place has a relaxed and civilized ambiance as one would probably expect and service was friendly and efficient. It is worth a visit but would certainly be a notch higher if it were a little more accommodating on the drinking side of things.
